Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Demery and Mr. and Mrs. John Hatton went to Lafayette Sunday to attend the funeral of Mrs. Charles Warner, an aunt of Mrs. Demery and Mrs. Hatton. The funeral occurred at 3p'clock at the family residence on Elizabeth Street. A large number of friends attended the solemn and impressive services to pay their last tribute of respect to the dead. The funaral address was delivered by Dr. W. P. Kane of Bloomington, Ill., and told in beautiful and touching language of the Christion life and works of the deceased. A quartette composed of Miss Rena Rice, Mrs H. N. Throckmorton, and Mrs. Frank Terry and Ed Weigele sang two selections with great swetness. The floral offerings were many and exquisite. The commitment was in Greenbush Cemetery. Mrs. Gorge Stump is also a niece of the deceaced. Mrs. Mary Sigler is very sick at her home in Boswell. Mrs. Singler is an estimable lsdy, loved by all who know her, and we join her many friends in anxious thought and prayers for her speedy recovery. Later: Mrs. Mary Sigler died at her home in Boswell Sunday evening at 6 o'clock. The bereaved family has the sympathy of the entire community. The many friends of Captain Lindsey were saddened by the news of his death, which occurred Monday morning At 4o'clock near Kickapoo. He had suffered greatly for some time from a cancer on his face. The funeral exercises were conducted Tuesday morning.
