Little Mabel Shuey aged 5 years, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Shurey, was buried in Hillside Cemetery Tuesday afternoon. Much sympathy is expressed for the family in the loss of their child, a bright little girl. Miss Ida Brown, deceased, was born in Warren County, Indiana, April 24, 1864, and died at the home of her mother in Liberty Township, Sunday, November 7, 1897, aged 33 years, 6 months, and 14 days. Ida was one of the most noble and kindhearted girls in the vicinity in which she lived, ready to lend a helping hand to the sick and suffering, and was noble in character. Ida was a good girl to stay at home and work, and wait on her parents. She offten said there was no place like home. But that home is sad and lonely without you, Ida dear. She had been a sufferer for several years and on January 1, 1897, was taken to her bed with that dread disease, Rheumatism, of which she never recovered. Deceased was the second daughter of Maria Brown and the late Wilson Brown, living three miles south of Rainsville. She was not a member of any church. Her greatest desire was to teach school and direct the little ones in the ways of right and truth, but her health failed her, as she was only able to teach one term of school. Ida was very patient in all her sickness and suffering of ten long months. She leaves a mother and sister to mourn her loss, who have the sympathy of the entire community. The funeral was conducted at the M.E. Church at Ransville, November 9, 1897, by Rev. Wilmer of Attica. Interment was in the Rainsville Cemetery. Little Lee Daldow, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Nimrod Dalbow, died suddenly last sunday. The funeral occured Sunday. The remains were taken to the Gaskill Cemetery in adams Township for burial. Little Lee was a bright child and his sudden taking away leaves the parents nearly heartbroken. They have the Sympathy of the entire community.
