The infant child of John and Jessie Anxtank of Liberty Township died last Monday from inflammation of the lungs after a two days' illness. It was born December 16, 1899, and was 10 months and 29 days of age. Interment was made at Carbondale yesterday at 9 a.m. Dr. Jones was the physician. Bessie, the infant child of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hickman of Liberty Township, died last Friday from cholera infantum after an illness of one week. No funeral services were held and interment was made in the Rainsville Cemetery Saturday, October 13th, at 3 o'clock p.m. Dr. Bernard was the attending physician. Last Monday morning while helping load logs on the farm of Wm Brown in Liberty township, John Clearwater was fatally hurt by the slipping of the Chain, which allowed the logs to roll back and over him, cutting three or four gashes on the face and head and passing over the stomach causing internal injury from which he died Tuesday morning. Dr. Coffman was called and did all he could to relieve him, but to no purpose.
