Mary Opal Bisner, daughter of Edward and Maria Bisner was born April 2, 1901 died August 17, 1901, at the family residence west of Rainsville, Ind. brief services were held at the M. E. Church Aug. 18 at 3 o'clock p.m. conducted by Rev. J. M. Williams in a comforting and impressive manner. Tearful we fold the flowers in the wee small hands and gather the playthings she loved, for now she is of the Kingdom of Heaven. how brief to us was her stay, but her going is the golden link, which binds our hearts to the other shore. Let us not think of death, but of the beautiful translation to a place made precious because she is there. John Baker, an old man, died suddenly near the pest house in Lafayette from heart disease at 8:30 a.m. Sunday. His last words were, "I have taken my last drink." He leaves three sons and two daughters. one son, frank. lives near this place. Interment was made in Springvale Cemetery Monday Afternoon.
