The Grave Mrs. Alice Fisher This lady was the wife of Haskett Fisher, residing northwest of Locust Grove in Prairie Township. She was ill from typhoid fever ten weeks and died last Friday. leaving a husband and four children, the eldest being seven years old, and the youngest only four months. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Mr. Van Allen of the U. B. Church of Ambia, at 11 o'clock a.m., Sunday, November 10, 1901, at the Locust Grove Church. The interment was made in the Locust Grove Cemetery. deceased was only 29 years of age. William R. Boyer Deceased was the son of Simon Boyer of Benton County, and went to Rena, Oregon in 1884 , where he amassed considerable of this world's goods. Some years ago he was engage in the log business and met with an accident, which rendered him incurable, and from which at times he was a great sufferer. The injury was to the spine, which produced epilepsy, and the disease was gradually growing upon him. A year of so ago he went to Buffalo, N. Y., and consulted eminent physicians who gave him no encouragement. He returned home greatly depressed. This fall a brother and his wife paid him a visit and had a most enjoyable time. Upon their arrival home, a day after, the news came that he had shot himself. The remains were brought back to this county last week for interment. The funeral was preached at the Locust Grove Church on Wednesday of last week by the pastor of the U. B. Church at Ambia, and interment was made in the Locust Grove Cemetery. The attendance was very large. He leaves an aged father and three brothers. Mrs. Jane Moyer of Hedrick and George Rockenfield, living on Simon Boyer's Farm were His aunt and uncle. Mr. Boyer was 44 years of age and was a bachelor.
