Died Mrs. Sam Conger, residing with her daughter at Danville, Ills, died last Saturday and the remains were brought here Monday where they were interred in Bumbarder Cemetery, beside her husband, who preceded her some years ago. Henry Conger, of this place, is an only son. The funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church, Rev. William Wilmer officiating. Died Franklin, the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. B. Frank Gregory, of Crestone, Colo., departed this life on Thursday, January 23, 1902 at 12 o'clock m., and remains were laid to rest beside the little sister on Friday afternoon, January 24, 1902. Life is a problem, which the best of us cannot solve. Death unlocks the mystery of our being, the why of our creation. Sore trail sometimes precedes the light that falls upon us from the parting cloud and we learn painfully the lessons of patience endurance. The broken pieces of home we cherish because memory will cling to them from something better. Above the grave is the shadow, within it the light of an eternal dawn. Eagerly would we reach our hands to stay the departing spirit of our beloved as we anxiously and helplessly see the drifting away upon the placid sea of Forgetfulness, and we linger by the forms expectant to her but one last word.
