Died Lota Pearl, little daughter of Minor F. and Frances C. Crone, after an illness of eighteen days, from lung fever, Dr. Finney, of Attica, was attending physician. She was born November 28, 1897, and died at 11:30 p.m., Thursday March 6, 1902, aged 4 years, 3 months and 8 days. The funeral services were held at the family residence, near this place, on Saturday morning at 10 o'clock, March 8, 1902, Rev. Wm. Wilmer officiating. Remains were interred in the West Lebanon cemetery. The pallbearers were: Messrs. Frank Berge, Hugh Brenner, Alex. Hamar and Jos. Swisher, brothers in the K. Of P. Lodge, at West Lebanon, of Mr. Crone. Died The wife of Lee Dinwiddie, leading layer of the Benton County Bar, residing at Fowler, committed suicide last Saturday morning by severing an artery in her wrist with a razor and cutting her throat so as to make sure of her purpose. She leaves two children. No reason is assigned other than that she was insane.
