Obituary Mrs. Isabelle Doty-Reynolds was born in Warren County, Ind., April 11, 1861, and departed this life at her home in Warren Township, three miles north of Independence, on Monday, June 30, 1902, at 12:25 p.m., after an illness of 5 months from pulmonary consumption, aged 41 years, 2 months and 19 days. Her parents were Elijah and Elizabeth Doty who came to this county in an early day from Ohio, both having been born in that state. She was united in marriage to James E. Reynolds in December of 1878 and to them were born nine children, seven sons and two daughters, all of whom with the husband survive her. The children are: James E., John M., George E., Elijah D., Frank., Garret C., Eliza R., Mary L., and Arbia J. The eldest is 23 years of age. Three months ago she united with the U.B. Church under the Rev. Mr. Richardson's pastorate. The funeral services were held in the U.B. Church at Independence at 10 o'clock a.m., Wednesday, July 2, 1902, Rev. Mr. Richardson officiating. Interment was made in the Independence cemetery.
