Obituary- Elizabeth E. Troxel died at the family home in Liberty Township, Warren County, Ind., Monday, September 28, 1903. Mrs. Troxel was born in Madison County, Indiana, March 22, 1838, and was the daughter of Elijah and Ruth Berryman. She was united in marriage to Beuben Troxel October 9, 1860 and to them were born six children, four of whom survive her. William is married and lives near the family home; Alice is the wife of Kurt Beavers; Jane is the wife of Al. Baldwin and Jacob, the youngest, lives at home. The second child, a son, died at the age of four years and another at the age of six months. Aunty "Lib" as she was familiarly called, was a kind wife, a loving mother and a friend to all. No one ever left her door hungry. She was ready and willing to share her fare with everyone. Yet she will live in the minds and hearts of many whom she leaves behind with whom in life she loved to be and live, and whatever her faults may have been were of the judgment, not of the heart. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. William Wilmer at the family residence at 2 pm. Tuesday, September 29, 1903, and interment was made in the Chenoweth Cemetery.
