Henry L. Griffith, 58, a retired construction worker, died at 11:30 am. Tuesday, April 4, 1989 in Home Hospital, where he had been a patient one month. Mr. Griffith was a construction worker with Laborers Union 274 and had worked for Ruseel F. Davis. He retired due to ill health in 1982 from J. E. Benson Construction Co. Born Jan. 14, 1931 in Corbin, ky., he came to the Lafayette area from Kentucky in 1950. The past two years he had lived near Dayton at 274 Dayton Road. His marriage was Nov. 20, 1954 in Lafayette to Wand Cupp and she survives. Also surviving are four sons, Darrell E. Griffith, Michael L. Griffith and David A. Friffith, two sisters, Mrs, Phil (Mae) Merdith of Rossville and Enda Baileff of Lafayette; four brothers, Donald Griffith of Camden, Albert Griffith of Pine Village, Clifford Griffith of Battle Ground and Jack G riffith of Indianapolis; and ten grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grandson. Visitation was Thursday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Funeral Home. Servic was Friday at Soller-Baker Chapel with Rev. Claude Crider officiating., Interment in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made to American Lung Association
