NICHES is "Northern Indiana Citizens Helping Ecosystms Survive". It is a land trust serving primarily, but not exclusively, Benton, Carroll, Clinton, Fountain, Montgomery, Tippecanoe, Warren and White Counties.

Pictured are the signs at the two Warren County sites which are the Weiler-Leopold Nature Reserve and Black Rock Barrens Heischman-McAdams Reserve which are adjacent. The sites are located 5 miles east of Independence on the south side of the Independence-Greenhill Road.
